What is Google Instant?

This is Google’s new method to show search results while a visitor is typing a query. They try to auto complete the query while typing.

As an example, when you type “web d” then Google will show a drop down list of suggested keywords like “web design” because Google thinks that its the most probable query typed.

Google Instant will not display the search results for the keywords “web d”, which are totally different. If you want to get the results for “web d”, you have to click the search button.

Google Instant is not a new ranking algorithm. It is just a new way in which Google displays the search results. Some keywords will now get fewer impressions, some keywords will get more impressions.
